Directions to SML

From Roanoke: Take I-581 South until it turns into Route 220 South. Shortly past Boones Mill you will see route 697 which is also called Wirtz Road, take a left. Take 697 (Wirtz Road) to the end and take a left on route 122 North. Follow route 122 North past the Booker T. Washington Memorial; you will go straight through 2 lights. You will still be on route 122 which is also called Booker T. Washington Highway. We are on the left across from Bridgewater Marina and next to Parrot Cove Boat Rentals.

Roanoke from Hardy Road: Take Hardy Road out of Vinton. Where it intersects route 122 turn left. Follow route 122 North past the Booker T. Washington Memorial; you will go straight through 2 lights. You will still be on route 122 which is also called Booker T. Washington Highway. We are on the left across from Bridgewater Marina and next to Parrot Cove Boat Rentals.

From Lynchburg and Bedford: Take 460 West to the route 122 South exit in Bedford (Smith Mountain Lake exit). Follow route 122 for about 17 miles. You will cross over the Hales Ford Bridge. We are the first right turn immediately past Parrot Cove Boat Rentals across from Bridgewater Marina.

From Washington, D.C.: Take US 29 South to Lynchburg. Take 460 West to the route 122 South exit in Bedford (Smith Mountain Lake exit). Follow route 122 for about 17 miles. You will cross over the Hales Ford Bridge. We are the first right turn immediately past Parrot Cove Boat Rentals. You may also take I-66 West to I-81 South to Roanoke and follow the directions from Roanoke above.

From Richmond: Take route 460 West to Lynchburg. Continue on 460 West to the route 122 South exit in Bedford (Smith Mountain Lake exit). Follow route 122 for about 17 miles. You will cross over the Hales Ford Bridge. We are the first right turn immediately past Parrot Cove Boat Rentals.

From Greensboro: Take route 220 North towards Roanoke. Follow 220 North until you get to the 2nd Rocky Mount exit. Take the Smith Mountain Lake exit onto route 40 East/122 North. Take a left onto 122 North. Continue on route 122 North for about 17 miles. Follow route 122 North past the Booker T. Washington Memorial; you will go straight through 2 lights. You will still be on route 122 which is also called Booker T. Washington Highway. We are on the left across from Bridgewater Marina and next to Parrot Cove Boat Rentals.

From Raleigh: Take route 86 North out of Hillsborough off of either I-40 West or I-85. Follow route 86 North through Yanceyville. Continue on 86 North to Danville. At the Virginia State line you will veer right onto US 29 North. Follow route 29 North until you get to the 2nd exit for Gretna and route 40 West. This is also the Smith Mountain Lake exit. Take a left at the top of the exit ramp. Continue on 40 West past Union Hall. Take a right onto route 834 (you will see a sign marked 4H Center). Go straight through the stop sign and follow 834 to the end. Take a left onto 616. Follow 616 to the stoplight where route 122 intersects. Take a right at the light. 122 is also called Booker T. Washington Highway. We are on the left across from Bridgewater Marina and next to Parrot Cove Boat Rentals.
